Becky

I am Becky and I grew up in Huffman, on the eastern side of Birmingham. My husband Dewey grew up in Palmerdale and introduced me to many people in the community. We lived at Emerald Lake until his passing in 2018. Now I live in Remlap two miles up the road from my son and his family.

I am a former police officer and a retired accountant. Retirement has allowed me to follow my passion of anything involving fabric and a needle. I used to own a quilt shop in Cullman with Dewey, and learned to love the craft, but most of all I have made life-long friends in the quilting community of Jefferson and Cullman counties. I would love to share the craft with anyone interested in machine piecing and machine quilting.

I love the Pine Mountain Community and your welcoming spirit. I have met many fine people through the canning class, bread class, knitting class and Trade Day events. (Shout out to Kristin, Sue, and Jessica!) I am excited about the things being planned in this vibrant community.

This is me with my grands. You can contact me through FB or email beckyhanks1951@att.net. I also have a Facebook page, Mug Rugs are Fabric Coasters.
