In December 1969, the former Blount Highlands 2-room schoolhouse became Pine Mountain Community Center. The Board of Directors is tasked with carrying out the organization’s purpose to “provide a central location for community projects and activities,” including “making available to the residents of the community and to any other organization, space in its building in which to conduct recreational and other types of community activities.” [Sources: PMCC Articles of Incorporation and Articles of Amendment]
