Trash pickup for Blount County residents is contracted with Republic Services. According to the Blount Countian, "Under the new contract [effective June 2022], those in the county not serviced by a municipal contract will pay $16.77 a month for residential service."
Pickup of recyclables or yard waste is not available from Republic Services to Pine Mountain residents in Blount County, according to a phone call on May 6, 2022. See the Recycling page for other options.
Dumpster rental is available from Central Alabama Rolloff [205-238-8909, FB], a local small business which supplies dumpsters to many customers on Pine Mountain, including your website admin who highly recommends Casey's service and fair prices. When you call, ask for the Pine Mountain discount: $275/1-day, $300/3-day, or $325/7-day rental of a 20 cubic yard dumpster with easy-access doors on the end. Prices include 1 ton; add $30 per additional ton.

AT&T DSL internet, digital phone, and TV is available to most of Pine Mountain. The base rate of $50 is discounted if bundled with other services. Phone service runs $49 ($36 plus fees).
First responders receive a significant discount and prioritized service in emergency situations through AT&T FirstNet, per Cyndi, manager at AT&T Springville and a resident of Pine Mountain.
Other options for internet: T-Mobile Hot Spot, Spectrum, Starlink (reportedly expensive to set up and $150/mo; many residents fine it worthwhile), Windstream.

Alabama Power provides electrical service starting around $20 per month (50 kWh usage), or $150 for 1000 kWh. You may wish to learn about questionable herbicide application by Alabama Power contractors around power lines on your property.

Remlap-Pine Mountain Water Authority services some (all?) of Pine Mountain. Water is sourced from Oneonta Utilities Board and Birmingham Water Works; quality assessments are available at both websites, and questions or concerns may be directed to Jonathan Curtis at 205-681-1711. The base rate is $29.27 and there is no fee for starting or ending service. If your water service is interrupted, check Oneonta Utilities Board's Facebook page for information and updates.
